Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long have you been in business?
We purchased this property in December of 1992. we opened  the Hunting Preserve shortly thereafter in 1993.So we have been here for 15 years
  • How many acres do you have? We own and lease about 600 acres here. Part of our property is not fenced ,and we hunt native whitetail and eastern turkey on this part of our property. Most of our property is fenced with New Zealand deer fence and this is where we hunt on the preserve and keep our breeding stock. Most everything we hunt here, we have male and female of the species and we let them breed and propagate here. Many of the animals we hunt here, were born here and have lived their whole lives here. The terrain here is very rough and we offer many different possible hunting situations. You will feel proud that your trophy has been well earned.
  • Do you have Russian boars there? We have Pure European wild boar here. Our breeding stock came from Manitoba Canada about 10 years ago. A Russian boar usually refers to an animal that is a cross between a pure European Wild Boar and a feral hog. A feral hog is what we have running wild in the southern half of the United States, and its basically a domestic hog gone wild. So actually we have one step better than what is called a Russian boar, Although many people would call what we have a Russian Boar because it is much better than what most hunting preserves offer , which are feral hogs (domestic hogs gone wild).
  • What is the difference between a Pure European wild boar and a feral hog or a Russian Boar? A pure European Wild boar has longer ,thicker hair and has more hair on his hackles. He has a long straight tail and not a curly tail. True Wild boar are not all black. True wild boar are a dark color with silver , red or brown brindled in their hair.
  • What type of weapon are you allowed to use? You can use any type of bow, Rifle , blackpowder, shotgun, or pistol.
  • Do you have a butcher service available? We do have a butcher service available to cut package and wrap your meat. If you use our butcher service, you will have to come back and get your meat. Any good butcher will tell you that the carcass of any animal that you are going to butcher needs to hang for a few days before it is cut up. These preserves that offer to butcher your animal that you have harvested the same day or that night , are doing you a disservice. Any animal harvested should hang for a few days before it is butchered. We will field dress. skin and or Quarter your animal at NO EXTRA CHARGE, for you to take home to a butcher near where you live, so that after it hangs like it should and your butcher gets it cut, packaged and wrapped, its right there close to home for you to pick up
